Spring is in the air. The days are getting longer, skies are getting bluer and flowers are blooming not only in your gardens but in your wardrobes too. This season is all about florals and as always Lady P is bang on trend. I’m here to give you a few tips and pointers on hows to get your make up looking fabulously floral.

Two looks that stood out at the S/S10 fashion shows were perfectly nude faces with vibrant red lips and sweet candy pastels.

The trick to getting this look right is to create perfectly porcelain skin which will make your lips stand out even more. Start by applying a primer such as MAC Prep and Prime. This will help smooth out fine lines and keep your make up in place for longer. Blend your foundation over your face with a brush or sponge and use the heat from your fingers to really press it in so it looks natural. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is deliciously radiant and will make your skin glow. Dust a little Lancome Poudre Majeur Excellence Compact powder over your T Zone to set your base. Chanel’s Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Orchid Rose is soft and feminine so brush gently over your cheek bones to highlight them. Curl your lashes and apply a subtle coat of mascara to the top only. Clinique High Definition Lashes defines and separates all in one so makes lashes look naturally beautiful. Finally, line your lips with a pure red liner like MAC’s Lip Pencil in Redd. Use the pencil to fill in your lips, this will stop lipstick feathering and really give it something to grip on to. Use a brush to delicately apply your lipstick ensuring that you keep the edges nice and crisp. MAC Lady Danger Lipstick is a punchy and vibrant shade and suits most colourings.

For the second look skin needs to be fresh and youthful in appearance. Take the time to really work your moisturiser into your skin. Decleor Aromessence Neroli has won best facial oil for three years in a row. It provides immediate comfort and radiance and as it penetrates skin on application it is possible to apply make up straight away. Foundation should be sheer and natural so a product such as MAC Face and Body is ideal. Once smoothed over your face apply a cream blush on the apples of your cheeks. Clinique have a new product called Blushwear Cream Stick which comes in a variety of mouth watering colours. Using a soft round eyeshadow brush, wash a sheer purple shadow over your eyelids from your lashes to your socket. Benefit’s limited edition Creasless Cream Shadow in Gossip is plum with a hint of silver so catches the light and makes your eyes sparkle. Apply black mascara to the top and bottom lashes to open up your eyes. To finish the look dab a dusty pink lipstick on to your lips. It doesn’t need to be perfect as this look is all about easy and effortless make up. Estee Lauder Pure Colour Gloss Stick in Nude Almond will complete your look perfectly.
Enjoy your gorgeous spring make overs and Happy Easter.
